this so reminds me of textbooks in high school when the government first shifted to using filipino as primary medium of instruction for majority of subjects. that was painful (and laughable) - the overly-thought and oftentimes literal translations ... geesh!
home economics in filipino was ok, but gosh, world history? asian history? economics? glad we didn't have to go through statistics, math (alhebra according to wikipedia tagalog), physics, biology and chemistry in filipino.
